From Edinburgh to Glasgow

While Edinburgh is a great city and has a lot to offer, Glasgow will always have a soft spot for me and I like the more rough and edgy character of Glasgow.

After spending the morning in Edinburgh it was time to go to Glasgow for a few hours before heading back to London in the evening.

Glasgow is all about the people, even more so than Edinburgh, since it's a bit more grey as a city and has less sights to offer but it's nonetheless a great place to visit.

Of People in Edinburgh

Another day in Edinburgh but this time it was more walking around the city and exploring some parts I haven't been to before.

With the Edinburgh Film Festival being on, I even came across a premiere and some paparazzi and figured I might as well get a photo even if I don't know the guy.

While I took photos of architecture and some landscapes, I found that the majority of the ones I liked were photos of people.

One of the great things of summer in Scotland is that it's daylight till later in the evening, unlike in Asia where someone turns the lights off and it's dark at 18:00 every day.
Still, sometimes you get nice photos in the dark.

Edinburgh Views

It's good to take a break and get out of London, there is no better place to do so than Scotland. Edinburgh especially is great with plenty to see and do.

You can go wandering around the old town, go shopping in new town, enjoy a pint or wee dram at one of the many nice pubs or go hiking and see some spectacular views from Holyrood Park.

In the evening you can relax and enjoy a bit of sunshine in the Princess Street gardens. It was a great break from London and nice to be back in Scotland.

Sunday in London

The plan for the nice and sunny Sunday was to go to Trafalgar Square and take photos of the Indonesian festival there.

I decided to join one of the meetup groups instead of go by myself and took he GXR A12-M with Heliar 15mm lens along (there is however one photo not taken with the GXR A12-M in this post).

The weather was fantastic and it's been great to be outside. Another nice thing was that despite my fears it wasn't really packed so it was very easy to walk around and take photos.

After hanging out at the festival for a while, getting some of the Indonesian food there and a pint after, I made my way to the Southbank to take more photos.
