All About the Lines

GRD, f4, 1/35, ISO 200, JPG, 21mm

Back to my one picture a day after the recent comparison. This time it's a color picture with the GRD I and for me rare architecture shot. Something that could also work well in b&w but I still decided to leave it in color. I liked the lines and the light.
Funny thing is that after I took the picture I noticed other people taking similar pictures :).

    I have a soft spot for arquitecture photography..And I´m glad you went for the colour version, the blue is intense and gives the picture great "body"..

    Thanks Erik. The blue was what made me keep it in color and the metal stands out better.

    I also think that the color is an extra strong statement for the picture. For me it also adds a sense of time: the color makes me believe it is a modern structure? If it was black and white, an older one? Yes I know that it is a bit straighforward, sorry for that!

    Thanks Ronald. You are right taht sometimes the choice between color, b&w or sepia can change the feel of an image, be it time or message.

    The simplicty of the composition, and the lines and curves gives this image unity. And you did the right thing in my opinion to leave it in color. It looks very strong that way.

    I visited Canary Wharf last week, plenty of opportunities for architectural shots.

    Yes, Canary Wharf although it looks a bit 'artificial' has plenty of places for great architecture shots. Think I need to go and take some more at some point.
